Serbian Nutrition Society (SNS) was established in1956 as an independent non-profit society. SNS has a tradition of gathering established experts and young ones from human and veterinary medicine, pharmacy, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, agriculture, food technology, food microbiology and others with the similar interests. Every year SNS organizes seminars for national experts and students on actual topics and every four years a congress on nutrition. Last two years SNS, together with the Federation of European Nutrition Sciences (FENS), successfully organized summer schools for young Ph students. SNS has been elected to be a host of the next, 14th FENS’ European Conference on Nutrition, in Belgrade 2023.
The SNS invites you to it’s 14th International Congress on Nutrition, September 3-4, 2020, Hotel Mona Plaza, Belgrade, Serbia. The topic of the Congress is” Food, Nutrition and Health: Where Science meets Practice”.
Program of the congress will cover wide areas across nutritional science within plenary and parallel sessions, oral and poster presentations. It is also planned to include panel debate/round tables and, as well as, young experts’ presentations. The meeting space within the venue is very modern and with pleasant atmosphere able to accommodate exhibitions and satellite symposia by food and food services companies. It is expected that participants will follow statements of the Instruction on the method of cooperation between the Serbian Nutrition Society and business and/or other entities in the prevention of conflicts of interest.
Belgrade is the capital of Serbia situated at the confluence of the rivers Sava and the Danube. Many tribes and nations have lived there. Celts have called their settlement Singidunum, but the Slavs named it a White City/Beo grad. It is an important crossroad of routes leading from Western and Eastern Europe and towards Athens and Istanbul. Belgrade is also an important regional educational center. University of Belgrade is on Shanghai ranking list one of the 500 most valuable universities in the world. It is also a cultural center with interesting museums, theaters, art festivals, but also a gastronomical surprise with a lot of restaurants with traditional cuisine and music.
We look forward to welcoming you in Belgrade, September 3-4, 2020.
